Inter-Agency Humanitarian Evaluation on Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls

The Inter-Agency Humanitarian Evaluation (IAHE) on Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls (GEEWG) found that there has been progress in mainstreaming GEEWG into humanitarian responses following the adoption of IASC Gender Policy in 2017. However, greater operationalization of GEEWG is constrained by a lack of predictable gender expertise and gaps in IASC coordination and accountability mechanisms. The report also identifies best practices and formulates eight recommendations to improve the integration of GEEWG in humanitarian responses.
