This Endline Study reviewed CARE Yemen's project on WASH lifesaving assistance and protection services to the conflict affected IDPs and host communities in selected districts of Taiz governorate of Yemen. The principal objectives of the project were for rural and urban communities affected by the ongoing conflict and disaster to receive life-saving assistance (for immediate needs) and improve the foundation for their sustainable livelihood and resilience. The project further aimed to facilitate improved access of the most at-risk women, men, girls and boys to critical information and specialized protection services.

The specific objectives of the endline survey were to compare project results against the baseline data to determine the progress and to evaluate the outcome level indicators of the project. Recommendations focus on key WASH infrastructure and practices (e.g. access to protected water systems, water governance, sewage networks, water-related hazards, knowledge and awareness, etc) and protection frameworks (e.g. the management of Women and Girls Safe Spaces).
