 OCHA has to date carried out a total of 12 general assessments in Temporary Living Centers (TLCs) between 1-8 March 2005 in Aceh Barat and Nagan Raya. For more information, please see separate report ‘Position Paper on Temporary Living Centers’, March 2005.
On 15 March a team consisting of people from OCHA, WHO/UNICEF and three NGOs1 undertook visits to five TLCs in Aceh Barat. The two persons from OCHA collected general information by using a standard questionnaire developed for the assessments previously carried out, while WHO/UNICEF and the NGOs were focusing on water sanitation specific issues.
The five TLCs visited were the following:
• Alue Peunyareng, Meureubo
• Paya Peunaga, Meureubo
• Darul Aitami, Meureubo
• Ujang Tanjung, Meureubo
• Leuhan, Johan Pahlawan
