This document reflects on the processes and methodologies utilised during the post-intervention pilot studies in India and Bolivia in 2010. It documents the challenges and key issues faced during the pilot studies and pulls together the lessons learnt, in order to inform the processes and methodologies utilised in future post-intervention studies. In addition to this brief introduction, the report contains eight sections. The first of these sections (section 2) briefly defines post-intervention studies and is followed by an overview of the objectives of the pilot studies (3) and the key processes followed during the pilots (4). These sections are followed by an analysis of the methodologies implemented in the two research frameworks (5), together with an analysis of the challenges and key issues experienced during the studies (6). In the final three sections, an overview of the key lessons learnt and recommendations for future studies are presented (7), followed by a brief section on recommendations in relation to Plan’s systems (8). The report ends with some overall conclusions (9).
