This report presents the outcome of an evaluation of the Distribution programs in Southern Angola, commissioned by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).

In 1999 the UN World Food Program (WPF), UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) with NRC as its cooperating partner started distribution food and non-food items to the affected populations in Huila Province, Southern Angola. The program was soon expanded to other provinces in the South. Having distributed food and non-food items to IDPs and returnees for more than eight years, NRC decided in 2007 to conduct an evaluation of the Distribution Program in Southern Angola, to obtain a systematic and objective assessment of performance and also to identify lessons learned
