This publication offers a number of strong contributions from senior officers in institutions dealing with national monitoring and evalua- tion systems, such as UNICEF, the World Bank, the UN Economic Commission for Europe, the Organisation for Economic Coop- eration and Development (OECD), the International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS) and the International Organisation for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE). It tries to bring together the vision, lessons learned and good practices from different stakehold- ers on how country-led monitoring and evaluation systems (CLES) can enhance evidence-based policy making.
