This report serves as a baseline study for ACTED’s Girls' Education Challenge implementation programme in Faryab. Based on a desk review and interviews in Kabul, followed by three weeks of fieldwork, its findings aim to contribute to the improvement of the organisation and its programming. For this purpose, the report explores the programme's Theory of Change, provides data regarding the levels of and perspectives towards education of children and girls in particular in the Faryab, and formulates recommendations to inform the GEC programme.
