The ability to communicate to the outside world, stay in contact with neighbours and friends to share experiences and news offers not only hope and support. It increases the chances of survival. Indeed, technology and information are fast becoming interwoven with protection efforts, as well as for accountability. As a Network we have underlined in our new strategy for the next five years that humanitarian action needs to be much more creative and responsive for an age when every disaster is digital.
