Based on field research, household interviews conducted by refugees and members of the host community, and discussions with those in UN bodies, numerous international and local non-governmental organizations, and government ministries, the reports detail the living conditions of refugees in the two cities and include recommendations for both policy makers and practitioners. Understanding the needs and developing actions to meet refugee and local needs remains crucial to the survival of Sudanese, Iraqis, Somalis, Palestinians, and now increasingly Syrians, living far away from their home countries. These reports seek to contribute to that goal.
