Uncounted and Unacknowledged: Syria’s Refugee University Students and Academics in Jordan

Syria’s civil conflict has had a tremendous impact on the country’s students, professors and universities. This is a brief preliminary report by a multidisciplinary research collaboration between the University of California, Davis Human Rights Initiative (UC Davis-HRI) and the Institute for International Education’s Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE- SRF) that took place in Jordan (April 15-21, 2013) on the status of Syrian refugee university academics and university students.
