Tsunami Evaluation Coaltion, Core Management Group Meeting in Geneva, Meeting minutes, 23 February 2005

 Early in January 2005, in recognition of the enormous added value that joint/coordinated evaluations can bring to the humanitarian sector, OCHA and WHO together with the ALNAP Secretariat began to discuss how best to coordinate agency evaluations of tsunami assistance. The purpose? To promote a sector-wide approach to evaluations of the tsunami response in order to optimise sector-wide learning.
