Now we face a choice: fall far short in our mission to save lives and prevent suffering in emergencies, or find a better way forward.

Oxfam and allied organizations are charting a new course - one that is based on the age-old humanitarian principle of neighbor helping neighbor. It is helping build a movement to shift power and resources into the hands of local humanitarian leaders.
