Thematic review and capacity assessment of Save the Children Denmark with special focus on partnerships in development and humanitarian assistance

Nordic Consulting Group, together with DARA has recently begun a thematic review and capacity assessment of Save the Children Denmark (SCD) for DANIDA. The review will analyse and assess the organisation's performance against the themes of humanitarian assistance and partnerships, with a special focus on documentation of results and capacity of SCD to implement key areas within their international assistance. The review will run until mid December and will include a field study with visits to Bangladesh and Pakistan. This study is one of the thematic reviews of framework organisations, agreed within the Strategy for Danish Support to Civil Society in Developing Countries (2008), which seek to enhance the dialogue between them and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). It is part of DANIDA's efforts to provide predictable funding for international NGOs working with protracted humanitarian crises.
