This evaluation reviews the first three years of implementation of crisis anticipation within the Start Fund, a pooled humanitarian fund managed by and for NGOs. It has three key research areas:
1) The impact of Start Network funded crisis anticipation activities, with three case studies, Somalia - anticipation of cholera, Sri Lanka - anticipation of monsoon rains and Nigeria - anticipation of election violence.
2) The impact of work the Start Network have conducted to support and enable NGOs to anticipate crises and take risk based decisions.
