The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (hereinafter referred to as the Movement) is working hard to meet the health and humanitarian needs of the many communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic around the world. Although the pandemic is a global problem, some groups are especially vulnerable to the disease and its indirect consequences. The Movement is committed to ensuring that these groups are not excluded from public prevention and response activities.

Internally displaced people, due to their circumstances, are among the groups most likely to be affected by the pandemic. By virtue of Resolution 7 of the Council of Delegates held in 2019, “Strengthening the application of the Movement's policy on internal displacement” , all components of the Movement, in accordance with their own tasks, will endeavor to guarantee a comprehensive response to the COVID-19 that takes into account the needs and vulnerabilities of internally displaced persons.

This report takes highlights the unique circumstances of displaced people and in order to address their needs in times of crisis.
