Pacific Emergency Management Training Advisory Group: Terms of Reference

The purpose of the Pacific Emergency Management Training Advisory Group
(pEMTAG) is to provide a forum for agenciesinvolved in the design and delivery of
emergencymanagement training and development within the region to work together
to ensure that through partnership arrangements there is an integrated regional
approach to the building of national capacity. This will be reflected in the training
and development being:
- based on a validated training needs analysis,
- appropriate in approach,
- .comprehensive in content,
- complementaryrather than duplicative,
- mutually reinforcing and part of a coherent overall development strategy;
- recognised in an accredited programme,where possible.
