This study presents a cost benefit analysis of two disaster mitigation and preparedness (DMP) interventions in India. The objective of the study is to analyse the net benefits resulting from
DMP to assess the cost-effectiveness of such interventions. Tearfund, a UK-based NGO, commissioned the study in response to a call from the international community for greater
evidence of the impacts and effectiveness of DMP.
