NATF/ACAPS Coordinated Assessments Training Course; Summary Report

The IASC Working Group established the IASC Needs Assessment Task Force (NATF) to harmonise and promote cross-sector needs assessment initiatives for consistent, reliable and timely data on humanitarian needs in sudden-onset crises. Its aim is to strengthen informed decision making and improve humanitarian response.

 

As part of its work, the NATF established the Coordinated Assessment Pool and Roster (CASPAR), CASPAR’s aim is to provide capacity to support the humanitarian community in preparing for, and engaging in coordinated assessments, as defined in the IASC Operational Guidance on Coordinated Assessments in Emergencies.
