This report by Beaman et al. tests training diffusion partners chosen using a theory-based selection approach and whether it leads to greater adoption of new agricultural technologies in Malawi. The findings suggest that simply changing who is trained in a village on a technology on the basis of social network theory can increase the adoption of new technologies.
