In the recent years, it has been highlighted the importance of demanding quality standards in the solidarity field in general and in the humanitarian action in particular, both at an international and national level. Clearly, this verification has been given in a context of growing available resources for the intervention in case of disaster or crisis. Some initiatives have been developed and coexist today with the aim of trying to improve the service given to the affected populations. Therefore, the real changes in terms of quality take long to be observed in the field, just as many evaluations show it. Many things remain to be done in the staff training in terms of the intervention methodology, both for actors and donors. More specifically, in order to support NGOs in their interventions improving and to make progress in the development of a quality culture, being aware of the difficulties and reluctances existing in the humanitarian work is
necessary. This is the objective of the present study: knowing and analyzing the current situation of the practices of humanitarian actors in Spain in terms of quality.
