Internal Evaluation of Phase 1 of RedR-IHE Learning Support and Capacity Building Programme in Sri Lanka (February to June 2005)

The objective of the report is to evaluate the performance and assess the impact of field based learning techniques and materials used in the transitional shelter learning support programme in Sri Lanka; to test whether assumptions made in designing the field based learning approach for the transitional shelter component of the Learning Support & Capacity Building (LSCB) programme were valid; to assess the impact of learning support activities undertaken to assist local NGOs, INGOs and government agencies involved in the transitional shelter sector in Sri Lanka; to improve RedR-IHE / CHA understanding of how effectively to support field based learning needs post the tsunami disaster in Sri Lanka and to inform or enable adjustment in assumptions made in the development of the on-going RedR-IHE LSCB programme.
