The current report presents the findings and recommendations of the final evaluation of a 4 year Japanese Social Development Fund/World Bank funded ACF International program. The program begun in 2009 in response to a World Bank assessment highlighting the challenge of soil salinity faced by communities in the coastal areas of Sindh Province. The general program objective was to improve the living conditions in coastal Thatta of approximately 6,500 small farmer (farmers with 1-10 cultivatable acres of land) and tenant (indentured farmers to landlords) households by increasing household income and decreasing household expenditure and burdens.
