Action Contre la Faim’s (ACF) three-year programme ‘Improving Food Security and Nutrition Status among Vulnerable Populations in Timor Tengah Seletan (TTS) District, West Timor, Indonesia’ has proven successful at improving food security, delivering greater access to water and reducing malnutrition amongst children. Established in 2007 and funded by AECID, the programme was expanded twice in 2009.

The evaluation examines both extensions; AECID Extension Phase (Jan 2009 - June 2010), and AECID Extension 3 (Jan 2009 - July 2010). It examines the impact of programme activities and outcomes generated, with a focus on food security, water and sanitation. Another consultant specialising in nutrition examined the nutrition and care practice components of the programme. The two evaluations although presented separately were conducted at the same time. The evaluation was conducted through semi-structured interviews, project document review and site visits across West Timor in Indonesia.
