The decentralized evaluation was commissioned by the Zimbabwe Country Office and covers WFP’s Lean Season Assistance (LSA) through the Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation (PRRO) 200453 in Zimbabwe from May 2013 to June 2016.

The evaluations assessed the following activities: 1) the effectiveness and efficiency of Lean Season Assistance (LSA) with particular attention to transfer modalities and linkages with the Productive Assets Creation (PAC) Programme (implemented under the same PRRO).

The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future in order to refine ongoing activities and inform implementation of the Country Strategy Plan (CSP), was managed by the WFP Zimbabwe Country Office and conducted by independent consultants, with fieldwork taking place in November 2016.
