Oxfam’s Emergency Response to the Food Crisis in West Africa officially ended this April having successfully reached more than 350,000 men, women and children, across the three Sahel countries of Niger, Mali and Mauritania. This was one of Oxfam’s largest humanitarian responses in recent years in West Africa with a total spend of 6.3million GBP. £3.9 of this was funded by the DEC. This paper describes the Emergency Response projects and provides detailed information about the resources used.
