The evaluation assessed the following activities: a) assessment, counselling and support (Nutrition assessment and Counselling Service); b) food assistance for orphans and vulnerable children; c) nutrition interventions in prevention/eradication of mother to child transmission services; d) improving food security and livelihood at household level (economic strengthening); e) strategic information generation and other crosscutting actions related to gender protection and accountability, partnership, monitoring and evaluation.

The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed by Dawit Belew Public Health Consulting, with fieldwork taking place in April/May 2017.
