The mid-term evaluation covers the Ethiopia PRRO 200700 operation “Food Assistance for Eritrean, South Sudanese, Sudanese and Somali Refugees” and the final year of implementation of its predecessor PRRO 200365. It was intended for both accountability and learning and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results. The evaluation assessed the following activities: 1) general food distribution 2) nutrition support to vulnerable groups 3) school feeding 4) livelihoods support. The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in February-March 2016.
