This country report examines the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF)’s
contribution to the humanitarian response in Cape Verde following a massive
outbreak of Dengue Fever in late 2009. It is one of 16 case studies conducted to inform
the 5-year Evaluation of the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF). Mandated by
the UN General Assembly, the 5-year Evaluation of the CERF is managed by OCHA’s
