United Edge is a social enterprise that supports development and humanitarian workers around the world. We launched a new 6-week online course in 2020 that seeks to reinvigorate those working for social change while providing radical alternatives to fit the challenges of the day. We had 174 people from 38 different countries join the course and are really excited to launch another round after receiving such wonderful feedback from participants.

The Justice Based Approach: Foundation Course develops radical thinking, brave leadership and transformative programming. It's a course that every humanitarian or development worker -- or anyone working for change -- should consider attending if they don't already know the Justice Based Approach (JBA), especially if they've questioned their role in contributing to genuine lasting impact. JBA is an approach for every sector (looking at justice as economic, gender, racial, social, environmental, food, shelter, education, health, refugee, etc.) and every level of staff.

This course explores approaches, tools, and perspectives that will re-energize you with new knowledge and skills, as well as renewed hope and direction. You can find out more and book your places at www.unitededge.net/events. You can also check the testimonials at www.unitededge.net/testimonials or download our brand new, free Justice Toolkit at www.unitededge.net/justice-toolkit.

We have had over 1,173 participants from over 450 organisations -- from local grassroots groups to international NGOs, government, and UN agencies -- with many people telling us it's the best course they've ever attended -- both in person and online (including throughout the whole pandemic!) -- and almost everyone saying they would recommend it to others in the sector. Our world is changing a lot. If we come together, we can create a more just and sustainable world in 2021 and onwards.

Participants only need a good level of English and to commit to 6-8 hours per week (in separate sessions). We also have a 10% discount for groups of 10 or more. If there are any inclusion needs or concerns, please also let us know, too. We offer limited financial assistance, especially for grassroots organisations, POC, trans people, etc.
