Launch of the Self-Reliance Index

On behalf of the Refugee Self-Reliance Initiative, RefugePoint and Women's Refugee Commission invite you to the launch of the Self-Reliance Index.

Join us on Wednesday, May 20 for a webinar to celebrate the launch of the first-ever global tool to measure the progress of refugee families on their journeys to self-reliance.

This tool is not only unique, but also uniquely important right now. Becoming self-reliant helps refugees to support themselves and their families. It also strengthens the resilience of refugee households to cope with and recover from shocks (such as a loss of income due to the impacts of the current global pandemic).

This webinar will introduce the Self-Reliance Index to a broad audience of donors, practitioners, policymakers, researchers and other stakeholders. It will also kick-off a month-long series of launch events leading up to World Refugee Day (June 20).

Additional events will be oriented towards refugee-led organizations, policymakers and practitioners working in the Middle East and East Africa and monitoring, evaluation and learning teams interested in gaining a deeper technical understanding of the Self-Reliance Index.
