CDAC 2021 Online Annual Public Forum

Date
07-08 Oct 2021
Time
14:00 - 11:00, GMT

Register for both days here: https://hopin.com/events/digital-communication-and-accountability-is-technology-tipping-the-balance-of-power-in-aid. Please note that only those registered will be able to attend.

This year’s forum – using the virtual event platform Hopin – will provide a platform through which thought leaders in humanitarian futures, aid technologists, communications and media development actors and local activists will interrogate ways to ensure the effective, equitable and ethical use of the rapidly expanding technical toolset in humanitarian action.

Over two three-hour sessions – held across Thursday October 7 and Friday October 8 – we will discuss the ways in which digital technologies can compel the inclusion of marginalised voices and enable locally-led drivers of communication, community engagement and accountability and seek to understand how to expand access and use of existing digital and communication technologies, particularly by those groups that lack visibility and voice. Each session as been designed to be interactive: come with questions you’d like to put to our panels of experts.

DAY ONE OF THE FORUM will be held from 2pm to 5pm – UK time – on Thursday October 7. Check the start time wherever you are.

DAY TWO OF THE FORUM will be held from 8am to 11am – UK time – on Friday October 8. Check the start time wherever you are.
