Nepal Red Cross Society organized a two-day Relief and Recovery Lesson Learned Workshop in Chitawan on 11-12 January, 2009. The objectives of the workshop was to critically review experiences during the relief and recovery programme in 2007, to learn the lessons from it and to create an understanding between the host district chapters.

Focusing on the relief and recovery programme, the participants from Banke, Udaypur, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Dhanusha, Saptari, Taplagung, Bardeya, Kailali, Kaski, Bara, Siraha and Parsa were present to present their experiences during flood and recovery programme. NRCS Chair man, Secretary General, Treasure, Vice-Secretary General, CEC members, Relief Delegate, Executive director, DM Directors and concerned staff also attended the workshop. In total, 44 participants including DCs and headquarters attended the workshop.
