Visits were made to several locations where the Community Based Disaster Preparedness (CBDP) programme is carried out, as well as to Kaesong city branch & warehouse. A wide range of internal and external stakeholders were interviewed, although no government representatives. An informal review of a recent response operation was facilitated, and findings debriefed to the National Society and Federation delegation.

The overall aim of the visit was “to carry out an interim internal review of the progress of the programme based on the 2002 review recommendations and the 2004 Federation appeal document and, in conjunction with the DPRK Red Cross and Federation Delegation, develop recommendations for future programme activities.”
