On 13 March 2015, category 5 Cyclone Pam hit Vanuatu severely affecting over 200,000 people. In order to identify how, based on the wide array of experiences and lessons from Cyclone Pam, the response of the Education Cluster can be improved in future disaster contexts, a workshop was held in June 2015.

The purpose of this document is to capture the key lessons of the Education Cluster response to Tropical Cyclone Pam. These lessons are intended to inform the broader National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) lessons learned workshop, and the future development of the Education Cluster in Vanuatu.
