This report was commissioned to provide input to Mission East’s Afghanistan strategy revision. It provides recommendations for adjustments to Mission East’s country strategy and programming to make them more coherent and focused on Early Recovery, and it presents a critical review of the organisation’s current livelihood and WASH strategy. The fieldwork for this research was conducted from 15-29 June 2010 in 15 villages of the provinces of Badakhshan and Takhar.
