Global Nutrition Cluster

The Somalia nutrition cluster was created in 2006 after the country adopted the cluster system following recommendations by the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) in collaboration with the Global Nutrition Cluster (GNC). The cluster approach/system was established with a vision to safeguard and improve the nutritional status of emergency affected populations by ensuring a coordinated, appropriate response that is predictable, timely, effectively and at scale as part of the humanitarian reform.
