This report summarises the findings from the 2008 review visit to UNICEF-supported programmes for children affected by conflict in Kitgum District, Northern Uganda. This review was the final stage in an evaluation process commissioned by the Hunter Foundation, with the aim of providing an objective assessment of the quality, impact and sustainability of the activities it has funded.

Hunter funding has been used to support interventions across a beneficiary population of 250,000 in Kitgum District. This has included activities such as health promotion, training of teachers, health workers and volunteers, and developing child protection systems. Following the 2006 review visit, it was agreed that a portion of the funding would be targeted for multi-sectoral, integrated programming in four camps, with a population of 56,000, to enable a comprehensive response.
