Evaluation of Sida's Humanitarian Assistance - Case Study Report Somalia

Sida has commissioned Development Initiatives (DI) to evaluate its humanitarian assistance. The results from the evaluation will contribute to the revision of Sida’s humanitarian strategy. As part of the evaluation, DI has undertaken case studies in three countries – the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya and Indonesia. During the field visit to Kenya from 28th June to 9th July 2010, the evaluation team consulted aid agencies working in Somalia. It was not possible for the team to visit Sida-funded projects in Somalia so this report on Sida’s funding is based on limited consultations in Nairobi and is not a full-scale case study.
