KATHMANDU, SEP 20 -
In an event of a catastrophic earthquake in Kathmandu, US military estimates that “4,000 metric tons (MT) of food and water, or 1,000 MT of just food,” would be required per day. This will need to be supported by over 257 C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft missions per day to sustain the level of humanitarian operation.
