The Humanitarian Performance Project: Briefing Note No 2

 Over the last 2 years, ALNAP has developed complementary work streams focusing on system- wide performance. The first work stream aims to improve the humanitarian system’s ability to monitor, assess and report on its performance, and involves a number of elements which make up the Humanitarian Performance Project (HPP). The second work stream aims to identify and promote improved ways of working that will result in better performance. The most important examples are real time lessons papers, real time evaluation processes, humanitarian innovations, humanitarian networks, and emerging work on leadership and evaluation systems.
