The First Real-time Evaluation of FAO's Work on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza

Objectives: To assess the management and coordination of the Global Programme at the level of FAO Headquarters and the Regional Office for Asia, including working relationships with major implementing partners and working relationships with Governments; to assess the implementation of the Programme in countries infected early in the panzootic (indicatively, Thailand, Viet Nam and Indonesia) and newly-infected countries (indicatively Egypt, Nigeria and one other country); to assess the support in preparedness for avian influenza in countries at risk (Ethiopia and Regional TCP's).
