Real Time Evaluation of Oxfam GB's response to the Java Earthquake of 27th May 2006

Objectives: to conduct a Real Time Evaluation (RTE) of our response to inform the response as it happens, and guide thinking for the next phase. to further test out the model to evaluate its effectiveness for future responses, in addition to contributing to learning for the Java programme.

Focus: Response speed relative to others, given emergency preparedness measures Relief appropriate to context and of a quality and scale expected of Oxfam An effective management structure, providing clarity and decisions Key support functions in place, and risks being assessed and minimised Productive and coordinated external relationships
