The purpose of this evaluation is to assess the ODA (DFID) -funded project: Boumdeid Emergency Dam Reconstruction component of the Assaba People’s Programme involving the construction of 14 diguettes and the rehabilitation of the main dam, in order to reduce the food deficit of the rural population in Boumdeid and Jeiwa by increasing agricultural output during the year. The evaluation was carried out in March 1997.
