A Call for Ideas for our 33rd Annual Meeting is now open

The ALNAP Secretariat is organising its 33rd Annual Meeting curtain raiser on 18 November 2020 on effective approaches to managing uncertainty in humanitarian settings, and we want to hear from you. Does this theme align with your recent experience? Are there topics you think need to be addressed under this theme? Maybe you have a good story that illustrates the problem, or an innovative approach to address it?

The Secretariat is specifically looking for ideas that can help shape the Annual Meeting events on the following themes:

• decision-making under uncertainty
• futures thinking and scenario planning
• risk mitigation and management
• adaptive programming and management
• systems thinking as an approach to managing uncertainty
• ways in which crisis affected populations deal with uncertainty

The curtain raising event will also kick-start discussions that will feed into the in-person 33rd Annual Meeting next year (see Concept Note for details).
