The driving focus of UNICEF’s Strategic Plan is achieving more results for children. More than 70 years since UNICEF was established in the aftermath of World War II, our mission is as urgent as ever.

Day in and day out, UNICEF works in 190 countries and territories, in some of the toughest places on earth, to reach the children and young people in greatest need and at greatest risk with life-saving assistance and long-term help, and to protect the rights of every child, everywhere.
